THE EUGENE ATWOOD FUND
DIRECTOR
STACEY HASKELL
Stacey has been the Director of the Eugene Atwood Fund since 2015 overseeing full operations of the foundation. Under her leadership, the Fund has gone from a paper application system to an online application system and has seen a substantial yearly increase in return on student loan repayments. She has also helped to support the addition of the Trade/Tech Committee and their mission to support students looking to obtain certification/licensing or to attend trade/tech school. Since 2017, She has also been employed by the Town of Stonington as the Executive Assistant to the First Selectman serving a municipality of 18,000 residents.
An avid volunteer, she was the lead on the Stonington Veterans Monument Project from 2020-2023 helping to raise over $200,000 to create the monument which was officially dedicated in June 2023. As the event/fundraising coordinator for the North Stonington Elementary School Drama Club for five years she raised over $15,000 to support their annual productions. She was a member of the YMCA’s Annual Giving Fund between 2014-2021 as a team leader for four years, team captain for four years and chairperson for one year.
