TESTIMONIALS FROM FORMER STUDENTS, PARENTS AND AWARD RECIPIENTS

The commitment of the Eugene Atwood Foundation to fostering education and empowering students has made an indelible impact on our lives. As a single mother raising three children who were pursuing higher education simultaneously, the financial burden seemed insurmountable.  The generous zero-interest student loans from the Eugene Atwood Foundation alleviated the financial strain and transformed my kid’s dreams into reality.  In a world where access to education is a fundamental right, the Eugene Atwood Foundation stands as a beacon of hope for families like mine, who aspire to break barriers and create a brighter future through higher education.  The support reduced the annual financial burden, giving both of my children more time to focus wholeheartedly on their studies, college activities, and personal growth.

The zero-interest student loans provided were a game-changer, ensuring that the compounding interest would not create additional debt.  This eased our financial burden and instilled a profound sense of gratitude and commitment to paying it forward knowing that all loan funds repaid by prior students directly support the loans of future students.  Additionally, the application process was straightforward.  Stacey Haskell was a great resource, helping us answer questions along the way and supporting us through our application process.  Much gratitude goes to the Board of Trustees: Erica Lindberg Gourd, Charles Clark, William Cosgrove, Christopher Dixon, Amanda Atwood Lindberg, and Elizabeth Dodge White. We are so grateful that programs like this exist because today, a college education is more important than ever.

Officially sent my final payment to my last student loan today. It took me 14 years to pay it off (it had a very minimal monthly payment and no interest, so it was the last on my list for student debt to pay off). If you are a parent, college student or soon to be college student check out the Eugene Atwood Fund."
